Zoe is an empath, keen people watcher and avid post-it lover who started with Meld Studios in early 2017. From her Industrial Design background, Zoe brings an understanding of the physical, yet is drawn to service design as it not only situates the physical in a larger framework, but questions if a ‘thing’ is needed at all. She sees the process of understanding the real versus perceived problem as an exciting treasure hunt! For Zoe, design is an intensely collaborative process in which skills, knowledge and experiences are shared. A visual thinker, Zoe brings a passion for ethnographic research, detangling complex problems, and conceptualisation.
Zoe completed a Bachelor’s from University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Industrial Design and International Studies where she studied in both Germany, Sweden and Hong Kong. Her undergraduate project focused a holistic service for the homeless in Sydney for which she was nominated for the DIA Graduate of the Year Award and the UTS Casey Hyun Graduate Award in 2014. She graduated from her Masters of Design at UTS in 2016 exploring design philosophy, theories, and research methodologies. While working at Meld Studios, Zoe teaches Design Thinking at the University of Technology of Sydney.
