We love interns! We take on one intern per quarter in Sydney and Melbourne.
What’s in it for you?
It’s a full-time, paid 3-month gig. You will experience the philosophy, approach and dynamic of a studio where Design is used as a tool for improving the lives of people and the world around them. You will actively participate in client projects, explore a personal project of mutual interest to you and us, and help around the studio as needed.
Our internships do not typically result in a full-time role. Think of your time with us as a learning opportunity to support your overall transition into the field of service design. Towards the end of your internship we will provide advice on how to update your CV and position yourself for future roles.
What’s in it for us?
We love the energy and fresh perspective that new people bring to our team. We want to learn from you as much as you learn from us. We also feel good about helping people transition into our industry.
What does a Meld intern look like?
You can come from anywhere in the world. If you’re coming from overseas you will need to arrange and pay for your own travel, visa and accommodation.
You may have just graduated from a design, psychology, anthropology, or business course. Or you may be a seasoned professional looking for a sideways move into service design. Either way, you are naturally curious, proactive, collaborative, and resilient.
You should have a basic knowledge of:
- The design process
- Qualitative research
- Concept generation and evaluation
- Visual communication
- Adobe Creative Suite
How do you apply?
Our next internships will start in July 2017, in Sydney and Melbourne. Apply here anytime. We will keep your application on record and reconnect in mid-April 2017 when we start interviewing.
In the meantime, if you have questions please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
