Mentoring government staff in human-centred design mindsets

We have been partnering with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) to help them better understand their customers’ experiences, needs, motivations and goals, with an aim to designing better services, offers and interventions.

We are currently providing training, coaching and mentoring services to OEH staff working on energy saving programs. Our support is helping staff to understand and apply basic human-centred design mindsets and methods in line with OEH’s Innovation Framework.

This mentoring has helped those working with us to prepare for a number of sessions that will help OEH to explore what will and won’t work according to customers in respect to energy-saving initiatives. This knowledge will enable staff to design initiatives that have greater uptake.
