Sydney Design Festival – submissions open

The program for next year’s Sydney Design Festival is open for submissions.

The theme this year is ‘Accessing Design’ – something that we are particularly interested in exploring. How can we design with audiences that are traditionally ignored (actively or passively)? How can design be used to balance inequality in the community? How can more people be included to ensure design solutions are truly inclusive?

Presented by the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS), the Festival is looking to program a more diverse range of content next year – not just the usual ‘sage on the stage’ format of talks and panels. We are very much looking forward to seeing what people submit.

Expressions of Interest close on 15 October. A full Festival program will be announced on 16 January 2019. www.sydneydesign.com.au/2019/
